Bernama sub editor's car vandalised

National News Agency (Bernama) sub editor L. Jaiarajo's car was among two cars vandalised in Taman Desa, here, today.

Jaiarajo, 54, said the windscreen of his Kia Spectra car which was parked about 20 metres from his house was smashed and paint sprayed all over the car, believed to be the work of some irresponsible vandals.

He said, a neighbour's maid informed him of the incident at 7.30am this morning and upon inspection found nothing missing from the car but the vandals had sprayed paint all over the car.

"Last night everything was okay. My wife had parked the car there because there was lack of space in front of my house. However, this morning a maid come by to inform me that the windscreen of my car had been broken and paint sprayed all over the car. Another car owner also suffered a similar fate.

"I have been living in the area for 21 years and this is the first time such an incident happened. We have informed the police of the incident but I do not know what was the motive for such an act," he said.
