Yesterday, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi confirmed that 267 police reports were received over the incident.
Two individuals who allegedly stepped on pictures of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak and PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang during the Bersih 4 rally at Dataran Merdeka last month have surrendered themselves to the police.
Kuala Lumpur CID chief Datuk Zainuddin Ahmad said the two individuals surrendered themselves at Bukit Aman police headquarters at 11am today to facilitate further investigation into the case.
"The duo comprise a 14-year-old schoolgirl and a 21-year-old construction site supervisor," he told Bernama when contacted here.
Zainuddin, however, refused to comment further.
Despite being held in a peaceful manner, the rally on Aug 29 and 30 was tainted by several individuals stepping on pictures of the two leaders.
Last week, police offered monetary reward to individuals who come forward to relay information until the arrest of the offenders.
