Best Bags of Fall 2014
Nothing makes the -bag lady look- seem more appealing than the enticing variety of bags and purses. Wed proudly sling numerous styles across our body at once and grab a few clutches in each hand.
Most of these bags hit stores in late July from New York to Paris. While the clothes get the bulk of the attention, for the major fashion houses, accessories are positively the bread and butter of how they make money, predominantly with bags.
Nothing makes the “bag lady look” seem more appealing than the enticing variety of bags and purses. We’d proudly sling numerous styles across our body at once and grab a few clutches in each hand. However, we had to play favorites and select a few bags to drool over, particularly the SpongeBob inspired bags designed by Jeremy Scott for Moschino.
There were a lot of sensational, innovative handbag trends that emerged from the Fall 2014 collections including fur, color-blocking, graphics, and even acquainted food brand logos. Designers are evidently having a blast designing these unusual and quirky bags. Anya Hindmarch drew inspiration from cereal staples like Kellogg’s with Tony the Tiger on her Fall bags, Kate Spade showed us that she has an interest in Chinese takeout containers and bird cages, and Chanel designed their bags to look like shopping baskets.
I guess there is one thing from all the Fall Collections that people are particularly salivating on, and that is the eminent Jeremy Scott for Moschino bags inspired by McDonald’s! Yes, now fast food is taking over fashion. The question is, who will get their hands on it first? Food on accessories and clothing seem to take over the street style blogs and this trend is swiftly moving into the dominion of high fashion. Just some food for thought.
