BMW Malaysia debuts locally-assembled X1 and X4

BMW Malaysia has just announced that they will be locally assembling the two of their latest SAVs in Kulim, namely the X1 and the X4. With the inclusion of the two SAVs, BMW has expanded their CKD operations to 10 vehicles. This would also mean that the Kulim plant will assemble 20 variants across 10 models of BMW and MINI combined.

The locally-assembled BMW X1 will be available in petrol and diesel variants, and will come in the colours of Alpine White, Black Sapphire and Mineral Grey. Sparkling Storm will only be worn by the petrol variant and Mediterranean Blue for the diesel. Interior will be decked in Leather Dakota that comes in colour choices of black with red highlights and mocha.

As for the X4, it will come in the colours of Alpine White, Sophisto Grey, Carbon Black, Glacier Silver and Melbourne Red. Interior options include Leather Nevada Mocha and Leather Nevada Black.

Both SAVs will be equipped with the BW ConnectedDrive that puts you in touch with their Concierge Service and more. Apart from that, no other specifications on what the CKD X1 and X4 will offer nor the prices confirmed. BMW Malaysia is mum about the matter and will only release more information at a later date.
