'BN leaders should work hard to reclaim Penang'
Gerakan President Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon today said Barisan Nasional (BN) leaders should continue to step up efforts to win back Penang.
He said there were signs of increasing support for BN from the Chinese community as could be seen from the turn-out at the Chinese New Year (CNY) celebration which was attended by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, in Penang last Sunday.
"The response was good and this indicates the increasing support from the people, but BN has to continue to work hard," he told reporters at a CNY Open House hosted by the Perak Gerakan today.
He said the BN leaders should be sincere in serving the people and work hard to win back their support.
On the list of Gerakan candidates in the coming general election, Koh said the names would be announced "when the time is right".
