Bodies of navy personnel flown to Johor, Melaka today

The remains of two Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) personnel, Able Seaman Mohamad Firdaus Mat Izan and Able Seaman Muhammad Arif Idris were flown back to their hometowns in Kluang, Johor, and Melaka respectively this morning.
The bodies were brought back in a Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) C130H aircraft which departed the Kota Kinabalu International Airport Terminal 2 at 9.45 a.m.
The aircraft first transported the body of 26-year-old Mohamad Firdaus to Johor, and then headed to Melaka to send the body of Muhammad Arif, 26.
Accompanying Mohamad Firdaus' body was Lt. Rahim Ghozi while Muhammad Arif's body was accompanied by Lt. Muhammad Shahirul Amir Ahmad Shukri.
The final funeral rites were performed on both victims after the post mortems conducted on them were completed at 2 p.m. yesterday at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Earlier today, the body of Leading Seaman PAP Maslim Abdul Rahim, 35, was flown in an RMAF EC 725 helicopter at 8.05 a.m. to his home in Semporna.
The three members of the RMN from the Naval Region 2 (Mawilla 2) headquarters in Sandakan were killed in a road accident at 1.03 p.m. on Tuesday.
Another victim Vincent M. Orel, 24, from Sarawak was injured and is receiving treatment at the Kota Kinabalu military hospital in Teluk Sepanggar.
The victims were involved in the crash while heading from the Sandakan RMN Base to the Kota Kinabalu RMN Base in Teluk Sepanggar to carry out their official duties.
