The bodies of the 13 Malaysians killed in a bus accident in Thailand on Sunday are scheduled to be flown back to the Subang airbase at 3am tomorrow, according to a Defence Ministry source.
It said that according to the latest developments, the Royal Malaysian Air Force C-130 aircraft was expected to leave Chiang Mai, Thailand, at 10.30pm (11.30pm in Malaysia).
The special flight will bring back the 13 bodies as well as the nine other Malaysians who were injured in the accident in Chiang Mai and their next-of-kin who had flown there yesterday.
Earlier, Malaysian Ambassador to Thailand Datuk Nazirah Hussain said the next-of-kin of the dead were at the Maharaj Nakorn Chiang Mai Hospital in Chiang Mai where they were helping to identify the bodies.
The bus, carrying the 22 Malaysians from Johor, crashed after an accident with a pickup truck at 11.30am (12.30pm in Malaysia) on Sunday while going from Chiang Rai to Chiang Mai.
