Body of man found by bank of Klang river

The body of a man was found by the bank of Sungai Klang nearby the Volvo building at Lingkaran Syed Putra, Mid Valley, yesterday afternoon.

Brickfields police chief ACP Muhammad Azlee Abdullah said a member of the public stumbled upon the body around 5pm and alerted the police.

"The man is believed to be in his 30s and was shirtless. No identity documents were found in his pants," he told Bernama.

He said that based on the condition of the body, the man had died in less than 48 hours.

He added that initial checks found no injuries and that the body was sent to the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre for a post-mortem.
