Body of woman found floating near Queensbay

An unidentified body of a woman was found floating in a river next to the Putra Place Condominium in Queensbay near here.
Barat Daya district police chief Supt Anuar Omar said police received a call about the discovery of a fully-clothed body, with face covered with a cloth, from a passer-by at about 1.30pm.
"With the help of the fire and rescue department, police managed to fish out the body and initial checks revealed that there were no identification documents," he said here today adding that the woman was believed to be in her 50s.
There were no signs of injury on the body and police believe the woman had died less than 24 hours, he said.
Anuar urged members of the public with information about the discovery or missing family members to contact the nearest police station.
The body was sent to the Balik Pulau Hospital for post mortem. - BERNAMA
