Bodyguard of businessman shot in Sepang, seriously injured

The bodyguard of a businessman was seriously injured after being shot by two men travelling in two separate cars at a roundabout near Chaterfield and the KLIA Commercial Centre in Sepang, last night.
A police spokesman said in the 8.45 pm incident, the bodyguard was driving a gray Mercedes Benz car when the men approached and fired several shots.
He said when the incident occurred, the victim and the businessmen were on their way to the Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KLIA 2) terminal.
Following the incident, the victim sustained serious injuries to the back of his right shoulder and was sent to Putrajaya Hospital for treatment.
Initial investigations conducted by the police found more than 10 bullet casings at the scene.
The suspects were believed to have fired the shots towards the front and the side of the front passenger seat of the Mercedes.
Checks by Bernama at the Putrajaya Hospital found the victim was being treated in the critical zone, and closely guarded by police.
