Court proceedings at the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Courts Complex here were disrupted for about three hours from about 8.30am today following a bomb hoax.
More than 300 court staff and members of the public were ordered out of the complex and waited at the car park as a police bomb squad and a dog unit scoured the premises. No bomb was found in and around the area.
Shah Alam Police deputy chief Supt Mazlan Othman said a court staff summoned the police at 8.25am after a man had called a telephone operator and threatened to set off bombs at the complex at 9am, 10am and 11am.
"Our investigation showed that the call was a hoax. We have yet to establish whether the call was made from a mobile or public telephone and from where it was made," he told reporters.
Mazlan said that during the police operation, all the accused persons of the cases for mention and trial were held at the Shah Alam Police headquarters lock-up.
