Here is a short snippet of our interview with Seydoux:

Are you becoming a specialist in secret agent movies — first Mission: Impossible, and now James Bond?
They are very different. You can’t compare the two films. One is American and the other one is more British. They are both big franchises but the Bond one really is very exciting. It is witty and it is funny. It is also very sexy.

Had you had any stunt training before?
I did some for Mission: Impossible because I had a fight with the girl. It was almost the same kind of training.

There have been many French James Bond girls. How do you explain this special relationship between France and James Bond?
The French girl is often seen as like the sexy girl, the stylish girl. French girls are maybe known for being elegant.

The way women are seen in this movie seems very modern, with both your character and Monica Bellucci’s. Do you agree?
Yes. It is true that women now in this film have a new position. They are strong. My character, she doesn’t need Bond. She is extremely smart. She doesn’t want to be part of his world. She doesn’t need him. She has a social position and she is a doctor. She has a job. She does not need her clothes or her appearance to seduce him. You will see that she is not that physical.

You said that Bond films are sexy. What is it that makes them sexy?
In the movie it is the cars, the sets, the costumes, the locations are all very exotic, even the gadgets. All the things that he has. And he is strong but at the same time with Daniel Craig and also Sam Mendes, they have made changes to this man. He is now nobler. He shows his emotions much more and we have access to his interior and his depth.

If there were a female Bond one day, would you like to play her? You can box already…
Yes, I would love to. It could maybe be me — you never know! The world is changing.
