Boy suffers from burns while playing with friends

A boy's reluctance to play with a home-made fireball with friends proved disastrous after he suffered burns to the body.

Muhammad Ikwan Fahmi Mohd Shahrizal,13, suffered the burns at a playground in Taman Nuri, Jalan Datuk Kumbar, here on Thursday (Jan 19).

Haslinda Hashim, 39 said his son, Muhammad Ikwan, had refused to play with the fireball as it was dangerous.

"His friends became angry and poured petrol before starting a fire which caught Muhammad Ikwan's shirt," she added.

Haslinda, who lodged a police report at Kota Setar Police Headquarters on Friday, said she would take legal if the boy's family did not settle the case. --BERNAMA
