BR1M applications for 2016 open, starting Dec 5

He said that in addition to new applications, those who want to update information can also do so during the same period by downloading the form for free on BR1M Inland Revenue Board (IRB) Malaysia official portal at https//:ebr1m.hasil.gov.my or www.treasury.gov.my.

They can get the 2016 BR1M application forms at any IRB branches, service centres, and urban transformation centres, he said in a statement here today.

"Applicants can register new applications and update their information online using their computer, but a copy of the application needs to be kept for record purposes. The e-BR1M application is not available for mobile devices," he said.

Applicants also need to submit their personal information, beneficiary's details, bank account and contact numbers.

"Existing BR1M recipients (2015) also need to update their information to simplify the payment process," he said.

"Notification letters informing whether the applications were a success or not will be mailed to the applicants starting from the last week of January next year. The BR1M payouts will be made in stages from Jan 28, 2016," he said.
