Bright-eyed and Bushy-tailed

Fashion month is dawning on us, in which the four fashion capitals will showcase their newest offerings. Clothing and design aside, it's also a good time to spot the rising stars. Who are the promising future Kates, Naomis, Caras or Kendalls?
These up-and-coming faces are fresh, distinctive and not always beautiful in the conventional sense. We all can’t wait to see more of these astonishing girls during the Spring/Summer 2016 shows. On their way to becoming the supermodels of the future, these rising newcomer models have burgeoning careers just waiting to take off. They are ready to snap up campaigns and catwalk appearances for the top fashion houses, and it’s only a matter of time before these stunners reach the top of the model food chain.

New York Fashion Week is already underway so top agencies and magazines are in search for these fresh faced ladies or P.Y.T.s people are itching to book for their next fashion campaign. A great runway debut can make a huge difference in a model’s career. These first-timers have managed to gain the interest of fashion influencers even before they walk for major fashion shows. It took us some time and precision but we have finally narrowed down this strong list of exceptionally and undeniably gorgeous girls destined for major success.

We keep our eyes peeled for that inexplicable “It” factor when it comes to who walks down the runway this season for the biggest names. Take a look at the girls who we think have high chances of dominating the runways this September.


Yu Zhang
This Chinese beauty with a seductive pout and well-defined cheeks stood out at the 2013 Shanghai International Model Contest, and soon after walked for Céline and DSquared2 in China. Look out for her in New York this upcoming fashion week, where she will certainly capture the attention of casting directors and clients alike. Actively improving her English, this lover of Ann Demeulemeester designs and Julian Schnabel films is gearing up for a hectic season.




Cierra Skye
Pittsburgh-native Cierra Skye’s modelling rite of passage was the Marc Jacobs Fall 2015 runway show and succeeding ad campaign alongside Molly Bair and Julia Nobis. Her exquisitely unusual features—particularly high cheekbones, porcelain skin, and mermaid-length hair are what made her stand out last season.




Emilie Evander
A new face from Seattle with WhyNot Models and Major Paris, this 15-year-old walked as an exclusive for Gucci and appeared on Alexander Wang's runway during ‪NYFW. Evander is from the suburbs and had an interesting runway debut as she walked for the Gucci men’s show for Fall/Winter 201 and had even booked runway spots at Alexander Wang, Rick Owens and Gucci womenswear.




Rhiannon McConnell
Born in Elizabethton, TN, McConnell is a face to behold. She has unbelievably unique features that are irrefutably mesmerising. The young 18-year-old newcomer was born and raised a small town girl and made her runway debut at the Gucci cruise show in New York. She absolutely has that cool kid “It” girl factor and we can be sure to see more of her in the fashion scene during the coming seasons.




Iesha Hodges
The 19-year-old from Brooklyn, NY was announced the winner of Ford and V magazine’s Model Search. The 5’10” beauty is currently having a fun time “living it up” on her college campus while trotting around Paris for Couture Week.




Alexis Primous
The W magazine and IMG Model search winner recently made her editorial debut in W magazine’s September issue. Primous is 20 years old and from Florida but she isn’t just your everyday college student as she manages to look extraordinarily and effortlessly beautiful in editorials and catwalks. With complexion and a face like that, she is sure to stand out during Spring/Summer 2016 fashion week.
