Bring own pen if you are worried about sharing it when writing down details
"If you need to write, make sure you sanitize your hand and pen, if possible," said Dr Noor Hisham.
The public is advised to bring their own pen if the premises they are visiting does not have a contact tracking application.
Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said they could also sanitize their hand and pen before filling out their personal details if they were sharing the pen with the public.
"The important thing is, if there is no QR code, we advise you to bring your own pen. Always have your own pen, it is better to have your own pen.
"I have been to a store, they have their own staff to fill out the form, not us. That's one way.
"But if you need to write, make sure you sanitize your hand and pen, if possible. If you are worried that the pen will be used by the public, it is a great way to protect yourself," he told a daily press conference here Thursday.
He said this when responding to a question from a journalist about the concerns of some individuals who needed to share a pen to fill out a personal information form.
Dr Noor Hisham also advised the public to download the MySejahtera application where the QR code system will be fully utilized this June.
