Brothers found drowned after going missing in Sungai Perak

The bodies of two brothers reported missing while fishing in Sungai Perak near Batu Musafat, Bekut, here on Thursday were found this morning.
Sungai Siput Fire and Rescue station head Zul Azman Jamaluddin said the body of Meor Mohamad Izzat Meor Mazinun, 13, was found at 8.58 am in Cegar Galah about four kilometres from the incident location.
Meanwhile, the body of the younger brother Meor Mohammad Fahmi, 11, was found at 9.25 am at Empangan Pasir, Karai about nine kilometres from the place they were believed drowned.
"Both bodies were found by villagers assisting in the search," he said when met by Bernama here today.
The bodies had been sent to Sungai Siput Hospital for post-mortem.
In the incident, the two boys were reported fishing with two friends before being found missing at 5 pm.
It was believed the younger brother was trying to save the elder sibling who slipped into the river before both brothers were feared drowned.
