KUALA LUMPUR: Budget 2021 will ensure that the business and economic sectors continue to be driven through various specific measures, said Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
He said the specific measures not only provide financing support but also improve the business ecosystem in general.
“I am confident that Malaysia will continue to remain a destination of choice for foreign and domestic investors," he said in a statement today.
The 2021 Budget was presented by Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz in Parliament today.
Prime Minister said efforts to ensure the country's economic resilience can be strengthened is also one of the main focus of the government in the budget.
The government, he said, is committed to implementing the expansionary budget, while continuing to maintain fiscal discipline.
The announcement of the 2021 Budget today, according to Muhyiddin, will also continue the momentum that has been achieved after the implementation of four stimulus packages worth RM305 billion which were announced previously.
The four stimulus packages are PRIHATIN, PRIHATIN SME+, PENJANA and KITA PRIHATIN.
