Meanwhile, Parti Cinta Malaysia (PCM) deputy president Datuk Huan Cheng Guan announced he will compete in the Bukit Gelugor parliamentary by-election on May 25.
Huan made the announcement in a press conference at his office in Air Itam, on Friday.
In line with the decision, Huan informed that he will present election manifesto and his slogan on nomination day scheduled for Monday.
Huan said his decision to compete in the Bukit Gelugor by-election, was not made by personal interest but based on his political experience gained over the years.
"I'm here to announce that I will be competing for the Bukit Gelugor by-election, as a candidate under the PCM which is an independent party. If YB Lim Guan Eng is able to answer the five questions that I asked, I am prepared to withdraw my decision of contesting as Bukit Gelugor MP.
"Two out of the five questions were asked by the late Karpal Singh, which Lim Guan Eng himself never answered," said Huan.
Huan did not deny that the competition is very tough not to mention for a small independent party like PCM.
However, he said he would use his experience as a former Gerakan Vice President and Batu Kawan MP from 2004 to 2008 to serve the residents of Bukit Gelugor.
He said the election machinery were also ready to face the election campaign and is starting to go into the field to see the people around Bukit Gelugor.
The other two candidates from Barisan Nasional and DAP is expected to be announced by the end of this week.
The Election Commission fixed May 12 as the nomination date, while May 25 is set as polling day for the Bukit Gelugor by-election.
The election is being held following the death of its incumbent Karpal Singh who was involved in a road accident at mile 306.1 North-South Expressway near Gua shell, in Kampar, Perak on April 17.
The late Karpal, who was former DAP chairman, won the seat in the 2013 general election with a majority of 42,706 votes, beating BN candidate Teh Beng Yeam, who polled 13,597 votes.
