Bukit Nanas landslide caused by heavy rain

During a site visit by Astro Awani , Alam Flora Sdn Bhd workers were seen clearing the soil erosion in the area early morning.

The fence, where the soil erosion occured looks unstable . The road has been re-opened for traffic at noon.

Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) confirmed yesterday the landslide is smaller compared in terms of scale to what have happened in Putra Heights and Setiawangsa Hill recently.

However should there be continuous rain, the land has potential to erode again if actions are not taken immediately.

Meanwhile, Federal Territories and Urban Well-being Minister of Datuk Raja Nong Chik Raja Zainal Abidin said that the situation is still under investigation.

“ The forest reserve comes under the jurisdiction of the Forestry Department Peninsular Malaysia. The city hall (DBKL) is merely assisting with the investigation,” he said.

According to DBKL enforcement assistant Zawawe Desan the incident did not involve physical or property damages yesterday.
