The woman who sold a bungalow to Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng and the owner of the company which bought land in Taman Manggis, George Town, today gave statements to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission here.
Phang Li Koon and KLIDC Sdn Bhd owner Datuk Tang Yong Chew had come with their lawyers.
Phang arrived at about 8.30am and was seen entering the MACC building accompanied by her lawyers.
At about the same time, Tang came with his lawyer.
Both of them are believed to have given statements. All of them were seen leaving the building at about 1.30pm in three vehicles.
Efforts by reporters to approach Phang, Tang or their lawyers were unsuccessful.
Lim's purchase of the bungalow for RM2.8 million became a controversy after Tasek Gelugor MP Datuk Shabudin Yahaya disclosed in the Dewan Rakyat that the price was below the market value.
It was also claimed that the purchase was connected to the sale of the land in Taman Manggis that had been reserved for a housing project for the poor.
KLIDC (Kuala Lumpur International Dental Centre Sdn Bhd) had purchased the land from the state government.
