A burst water pipe near the construction site of Semenyih 2 water treatment plant in Kampung Jenderam Hilir here today spurted water up to 30 metres high reaching an electrical cable and caused temporary water supply disruption in Sepang and Hulu Langat districts.
The hotline for Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas), when contacted confirmed receiving reports from the public who saw the jet of water at about 6 pm and said pipe repair works were being expedited.
The affected areas in Sepang are Kg Sungai Buah, Kampung Jenderam Hilir and Kampung Jenderam Hulu, while areas in Hulu Langat are Bandar Bukit Mahkota, Rinching, Beranang and Bandar Baru Bangi.
