Bus rams into 10 cars at PLUS highway

An accident is reported to have happened at the North-South Highway (PLUS) at KM265.8 southbound involving an express bus and 10 cars.
According to a video which has since gone viral on social media, the bus is seen exiting the Menora Tunnel at high speed before ramming into several vehicles.
The accident caused heavy traffic at the highway.
According to PLUS, no deaths were reported.
However, the cause of the incident is not known.
The bus is identified as a STAR QISTNA express bus, with the number plate BLB 6936.
Perak traffic police chief, Supt Wan Jamil Wan Chik said initial investigations showed that traffic was already heavy when the bus suddenly entered the middle lane before ramming into the cars on the left and right lanes.
"The Perak police take this matter seriously and will conduct a thorough investigation involving technical, negligence, the influence of drugs and alcohol as well as other issues," he said via WhatsApp.
Other vehicle owners have also lodged police reports over the incident.
