Bus runs off road at Ulu Yam, passengers seriously injured

A bus on its way to Nilai, Negeri Sembilan ran off road at Jalan Sungai Tua, Ulu Yam near the Batu Dam at 6.30pm today.

The bus ferrying 24 students of Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) and two drivers was on its way back to the university from Ulu Yam Eco Camp.

According to the Gombak police, initial investigation revealed that brake malfunction caused the incident.

No casualty was reported but several passengers were seriously injured in the incident, which caused heavy traffic for a stretch of two kilometres.
