The public bus services in Malaysia are generally still at a level that is less than satisfactory.
Observations by Astro AWANI at the Larkin bus station in Johor Bahru recently found that the locals who use buses on a daily basis express their woes when using this public transport.
Generally, they are unhappy about the bus schedules that are often delayed and uncertain.
"We have to wait long, sometimes one hour sometimes half an hour, it depends on the bus,” said a bus user Norazizah Buyong.
For Nordarwina Farhana Mohd Baharom, buses are inefficient but she has no other choice.
"Not so great lah because for example we have to wait a few hours and when we get on we wait another half an hour before it moves,” she said.
However, there are also those who do not have any problems with services offered by most of the bus operating companies.
"Alhamdulillah, I know that compared to the old terminal, there have been various improvements such as the cleanliness of the buses and the buildings as well. We also see new buses,” she said.
