Businessman released, no link to AmBank founder murder

A local businessman who was detained by the police in connection with the murder of Arab-Malaysian Bank founder Hussain Ahmad Najadi last Oct 15 had been released.
The 55-year-old suspect was detained at the KL International Airport and was released last Tuesday.
Kuala Lumpur Criminal Investigation Department head Datuk Zainuddin Ahmad said investigation by the police on the businessman had been referred to the Deputy Public Prosecutor who found no evidence to link him in the case.
As such, the suspect was released, he said when contacted here today.
Hussain, 76, was killed, while his wife, was seriously injured, when they were shot at while leaving a temple at Lorong Ceylon here on July 29, 2013.
