New e-commerce platforms are being introduced to facilitate the selling and buying of essential items when feting Ramadan especially during the Movement Control Order (MCO).
My E. G. Services Berhad (MYEG) had introduced the platform 'Nak Makan' under the Ramadan Bazaar concept via online to help food vendors and entrepreneurs to market their food and products.
The company, in a statement, said the first phase of 'Nak Makan' would involve Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Selangor
''The vendors can operate from their own premises and their 'Nak Makan' delivery partner, namely, MrSpeedy, would make the collections and deliveries to the customers,'' said the statement.
The statement said the vendors could participate by registering their business details at www.nakmakan.com.my or by contacting 03-7664 8100 or 017-228 5948/5954/5958/5983.
According to the company, the e-sahur and e-raya facilities were being drafted for the second and third phases of the platform.
In the meantime, the Malaysian Handicraft Development Corporation had introduced the E-Kraf Bazar using Facebook to assist craft entrepreneurs who were impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak.
The Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC), in a statement, said the initiative would facilitate the consumers in seeking their items of need during the MCO, in addition to making preparations in the light of the coming Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Tadau Kaamatan Harvest and Gawai Dayak festivals.
The statement mentioned that over 700 entrepreneurs with 2.3 million followers were expected to participate in the E-Kraf Bazar which would be marketing handicraft products such as textile, forest products and ceramic.
