The dynamic collaboration between Certina and Sauber F1 Team, which started in 2005, is now in its tenth year. To mark this lasting alliance, CERTINA is launching a limited edition version of its 1/100th sec. DS-2 chronograph, with splendid design references to the exciting world of Formula 1.

In Formula 1 as in watchmaking, the true power of timing comes through its unfailing accuracy. Inside the DS-2 Sauber F1 Team chronograph, a Swiss-Made ETA Precidrive quartz movement with 1/100th sec, 12h, 30m and 60s functions ensures that timing is never open to question.

The 41mm 316L brushed-polished stainless-steel case wears a black aluminium tachymeter-scale bezel and a lightly rounded anti-reflective sapphire crystal. Against a black carbon dial, the nickelled HM hands carry a thin central line of Superluminova, also applied to the indices, to enhance readability and underscore the sporty character of the DS-2. The timepiece is protected by the well-known CERTINA DS Concept and is water-resistant up to a pressure of 10 bar (100 m). Its case-back proudly shows a mention of the ten years of CERTINA partnership with the Sauber F1 Team, as well as the timepiece’s unique, limited-edition unit production number. A rugged, handsome rubber strap with red stitching and a pin-clasp buckle complete the eye-catching design.

The DS-2 Sauber chronograph will be produced in a limited edition of only 2014 pieces, to highlight ten years of exciting collaboration between the two companies. It is delivered in a special watch display box with a certificate of authenticity.
