Charred remains of child found after terrace house fire in Dengkil

The charred remains of a child was found in a one-storey terrace house razed by fire at a housing estate here early today.

A fire and rescue spokesman said the 4.27am fire involved three terrace house units.

He said the house was almost completely destroyed while the unit on its left and the one on its right were 50 per cent burned.

Personnel from Cyberjaya and KLIA fire and rescue stations managed to control the fire by 5.14am.

The body has been sent to Serdang Hospital for post mortem, according to the spokesman.

He did not reveal the identity of the victim.
