Child abuse: Three-month-old baby in Jitra suffers from bleeding in the brain

A CT scan performed on a three-month old baby, who was allegedly abused by his babysitter at a daycare centre in Taman Bunga Raya here Monday, revealed that he is suffering from bleeding in the brain
The matter was confirmed by Health Department Director, Datuk Dr Norhizan Ismail who performed the CT scan on him here today.
The baby is reportedly still unconscious and closely monitored by several pediatric and neurology specialists to ensure his condition remains stable.
According to Dr Norhizan, the specialist who is treating the baby is still conducting an investigation to identify the actual cause of the bleeding. The baby has been admitted to the intensive care unit of Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital in Alor Setar.
He also added that the baby has shown progress and is in a stable condition.

When his father fetched his son from the daycare centre, he found his son in a weak condition with marks on his left chin and head.
It is learnt that the father started sending the baby to the centre starting Jan 3.
