Christian girl embraces Islam at Dr Zakir Naik's final lecture in Kemaman

A Christian girl converted to Islam after attending the final lecture by renowned Islamic preacher, Dr Zakir Naik in Padang Astaka, Kemaman, Terengganu last night.

Wu Nina Grace, 19, decided to make the leap of faith after she was satisfied with the explanations by the preacher during the event which was attended by a strong-40,000 audience.

The speech was uploaded by 'Web TV Terengganu' YouTube channel featuring Grace explaining that she is familiar with Al-Quran verses including Al-Fatihah and Kursi.

"Did I not respect Islam?" asked the student during a question-and-answer session with the 50-year-old Dr Zakir.

Dr Zakir continued to ask if she believed that there was only one God and the prophet, Nabi Muhammad.

Grace agreed with Dr Zakir as he continued saying, "If you believe in this concept, I believe you are a Muslim.

"You want to say the syahadah?" asked Dr Zakir to Grace.

Grace stood in silent before she agreed to recite the syahadah.

Once she recited the phrase, Grace could not hold back her tears.

The audience, who came from Pahang and Kelantan, attended the last lecture by Dr Zakir in Kemaman did not budge despite the drizzle.

The programme marked Dr Zakir's fourth since he arrived in Terengganu on April 9.
