ABIM president Amidi Abdul Manan said it would organise a '#Citizenship4Rohingya' campaign nationwide as part of an advocacy effort to get the Myanmar government to do so.
He said Malaysians from all walks of life should support the campaign.
The campaign promotes universal values as well as the need to uphold the dignity of all people, regardless of their skin colour, religion and geographical location, he said.
In an effort to assist the Rohingya refugees, Amidi said ABIM, with the cooperation of the Global Peace Mission, Future Global Network and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) had set up three Rohingya Education Centres (REC).
The centres in Klang, Penang and Kuantan serve as a platform to provide basic education for the Rohingya children in Malaysia, he added.
