Citroen Grand C4 Picasso in Petrol variant launched

Another award winning French car comes to our shores to join its diesel counterpart. By Jerrica Leong

Citroen’s snazzy seven-seater MPV now comes with a petrol engine, so if you can’t wait for BHP to set up Euro5 Diesel pumps in KL to buy its diesel counterpart than be sure to register one at the nearest Citroen showroom near you.

The Citroen Grand C4 Picasso is build base on the new EMP2 platform to provide the best combination of versatility, cabin space and accessibility. The loft-inspired interior delivers an uncluttered feel and comfort for all passengers. Passengers get to stare out the panoramic windscreen or enjoy the view out the large glass roof while they enjoy the comforts of seats covered in Cuir Nappa bi-tone leather and the electric foot rests.

Outside, the Grand C4 Picasso sets a statement like no other MPV has ever done. While you might mistake it with its diesel counterpart on the road the C4 with a petrol engine hidden under its hood has got a newly designed front end and robust rear end with its wraparound, motorised tailgate and rear 3D LED lights.

The C4 is powered by a 1.6-litre e-THP 165 engine that produces 163bhp with 240Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox that gets the car from 0-100kph in 8.7 seconds and has a recorded top speed of 189kph. It also has an improved fuel efficiency of 17.3km/l and performance, while the car gains an extra 10bhp in the process, the e-THP 165 engine still cuts CO2 emissions to 129g/km.

Upfront, the C4 is fitted with Macpherson Struts to improve ride quality while the rear suspension is fitted with a flexible transverse beam.

The C4 is equipped with a slew of technologies to provide assistance as part of a safe and relaxed driving experience like Collision Risk Alert, Lane Departure Warning System, Blind Spot Monitoring System and Electronic Stability Programme just to name a few.

Choose from a selection of four colours: Noir Onyx (Black), Blanc Banquise (White), Blue Telese (Blue) and Rouge Babylone (Red) and the Grand C4 Picasso will be yours at RM179,888.00 on-the-road inclusive of GST.
