People who misuse the new cycling path introduced by the City Hall last week will face strict enforcement action like having their vehicles towed away.
Kuala Lumpur Mayor Datuk Seri Ahmad Phesal Talib said the City Hall has the right to impose action on irresponsible drivers as the council has marked the lanes to be used for cycling purposes clearly.
He said the cycling path will be gazetted to ensure that people adhere to the rules.
“We will be launching a campaign to urge people to adhere to the regulations set,” he said after launching 'Discover Malaysia By Bicycle’ here, today.

Ahmad Phesal said this when responding to incidents of car drivers parking their vehicles along the 5.5 kilometer path from Dataran Merdeka to Mid Valley, Bangsar, last week.
