The question of whether the Conditional Movement Control Order (CPPB) will be extended or otherwise has been answered today after the government announced it would be terminated on June 9.
Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has instead announced the CMCO would be replaced with the Recovery MCO (RMCO) with effect from June 10 to August 31, 2020
He said the RMCO would be implemented as the country's phase of exit strategy against the COVID-19 pandemic.
"From June 10 to August 31, more flexibility will be provided for all to carry out daily routine while continuing to adhere to the SOP (standard operating procedure).
"Beginning June 10, 2020 state cross-border travel will be allowed except in areas designated as Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO).
"So, those who want to visit parents in the villages, can do so.
“My only advice is to keep good hygiene and wear a face mask in public and avoid being in crowded places on the way to the village," he said in his special address on the Movement Control Order (MCO) on Sunday.
