Good news awaits those who are still single since the government is expected to give consideration to the group to return to their hometowns.
Good news awaits those who are still single since the government is expected to give consideration to the group to return to their hometowns.
According to Senior Minister (Security Cluster), Datuk Seri Ismail Yaakob, the government would not close the door on them who have been waiting to visit their parents.
However, he requested that the government be allowed a bit of time to look into the matter.
"I personally sympathise with them. When I was single, I wanted to visit my late mother every week if possible. Of course, we miss our parents, especially after not having met them for the last two or three months.
“I understand, Insya-Allah as I said earlier, we have begun to discuss some of the relaxation (of the SOP) and we will discuss this weekly and daily at the Special Ministerial Meeting.
“So, to all the single people who miss their hometowns, give us a bit of time to discuss when they can start their journey home to the village.
"Insya-Allah, we will not close the door on them forever. Insya-Allah, we will give them a chance,” he said at a press conference here on Sunday.
