CMCO: Government uses locality, cluster approach to avoid cases increasing in red zones
Ismail Sabri said the government was prepared to face any possibility including the addition of the red zones.
The locality and cluster approach is being used by the government in its effort to reduce the sudden increase in COVID-19 cases in the country.
Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the government was prepared to face any possibility including the addition of the red zones following the implementation of the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO).
“For example, we recently identified a new cluster from foreigners. So, we focus on COVID-19 positive foreigners and those who have close contact with patients.
"So, in terms of our preparations based on the area, we are going to administer the MCO administratively or enforce the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO),” he said at a press conference here, Wednesday.
According to the National Crisis Preparedness and Emergency Response Centre (CPRC), the COVID-19 red zone areas remained at 10 as of noon yesterday.
