KUALA LUMPUR:Gymnasiums, commercial football fields and futsal centers in areas under the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) are allowed to operate from Monday, October 19.
Senior Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the matter was decided by the special session of the National Security Meeting (MKN) after hearing applications and appeals from the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS) regarding the sports activities of the three sports centres.
"As the activities in the gymnasium are carried out individually with physical distancing, the special session has agreed to allow the gymnasium to operate as usual with strict SOPs that have been set before.
“Activities at the commercial football field and futsal centre are also allowed but only for training purposes and limited to 10 participants at a time," he said at a virtual press conference on Saturday.
Ismail Sabri also said that further standard operating procedures (SOP) will be announced by KBS in the near future.
In a development regarding CMCO compliance operations, he said PDRM had arrested 467 individuals on Friday for disobeying CMCO instructions.
"Of that number, a total of 460 individuals were compounded, six more were and one was allowed bail," he said.
Through the Ops Benteng carried out, he said 58 illegal immigrants (PATI) were detained.
He added that two boats and two land vehicles were also confiscated.Enable GingerCannot connect to Ginger Check your internet connection or reload the browserDisable in this text fieldEditEdit in GingerEdit in Ginger×
