CMCO: Vehicles inspected down to 194,450 - Ismail Sabri

Just a day before the conclusion of the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO), the number of vehicles inspected by the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) showed a decrease to 194,450 vehicles on Sunday, compared to 225,345 the previous day.

Senior Minister (Security Cluster), Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said, the PDRM also detained 60 individuals for violating the CMCO, with 53 of them remanded while seven were given police bail.

"The PDRM also issued compounds to 277 individuals, including 30 of them at roadblocks," he told a press conference here on Monday.

"The inspections were carried out at 133 cross-border roadblocks across the country," he added.

In a similar development, Ismail Sabri said, the PDRM-led Compliance Operations Task Force conducted 75,182 checks on Sunday to monitor and enforce compliance with the CMCO standard operating procedures (SOP).

Meanwhile, he said, the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) had conducted 7,780 sanitation operations covering 132 zones as of Sunday.

"Yesterday, 40 sanitation operations were conducted in 30 zones involving 10 states including Sabah (10 operations), Johor (seven operations) and Sarawak (six operations)," he said.
