Commando charged with having printed material associated with IS
Muhammad Adibzakir Zahri was charged with having in his possession printed material associated with the IS militant group.
A commando was charged in the Magistrate's Court here today with having in his possession printed material associated with the IS militant group.
No plea was recorded from Muhammad Adibzakir Zahri, 28, of the Commando 21 Regiment Camp in Sungai Udang here, for the offence allegedly committed at the Sungai Udang police station here at 8.50 am on Aug 19 this year.
Muhammad Adibzakir of Alor Setar, Kedah, nodded to indicate he understood the charge after it was read out to him before Magistrate Mohd Asri Abd Rahman Sidik.
Mohd Asri set Nov 5 for mention of the case and to hear an application to transfer the case to the Kuala Lumpur High Court.
DPP Norshazwani Ishak appeared for the prosecution. Muhammad Adibzakir was not represented.
