Aravindan Balakrishnan, who has been accused of enslaving three women for the past 30 years had claimed that he was like Jesus Christ, The Independent reported on Wednesday.
Dudley Heslop, a community worker who used to attend Aravindan’s lectures years ago, would say “‘I am the Christ, follow me’ and people would. He was never violent, he was too self-controlled.”
He added that women abandoned their careers and futures for him.
Aravindan, better known as Comrade Bala, was said to have persuaded his followers to hand over their money, amounting to thousands of pounds, to be used revolutionary cause.
Meanwhile, The Telegraph and DailyMail reported that one of the victims, Irish born Josephine Herivel, 57 is the daughter of mathematician, John Herivel who was instrumental for the Allied’s victory in breaking several of Nazi’s secret codes in the World War 2.
He was one of the Bletchley Park code breakers who cracked the German Enigma ciphers in 1940.
Meanwhile, Kamarmahtum Abdul Wahab wishes to meet her sister, Siti Aishah who was allegedly one of the three women kept as slaves in London, came true, when she was brought to a location, undisclosed by the British police.
The sisters met after decades of being separated.
This was confirmed by Malaysian High Commissioner to the UK Datuk Seri Zakaria Sulong to Astro Awani Magazine Editor, Zan Azlee Zainal Abidin who was part of the mission to find Siti Aishah in London.
Zan Azlee is also Siti Aishah’s nephew.
Meanwhile, political activist Hishamuddin Rais who was also part of the mission blogged that policeman Neil Hamilton will receive a letter from teacher Kamar to be given to her sister, Siti Aishah and that it will be done at the high commission.
Siti Aishah is one of the three women rescued on Oct 25 when one of them contacted a charity organisation.
