Container lorry fire shakes Port Klang town

Residents living near Port Klang today were shocked when they saw smoke billowing from a container lorry carrying paper rolls after the vehicle caught fire near Jalan Pelabuhan Utara in Port Klang.
The container lorry driver in his 40s, heading towards Westport narrowly escaped death in the 7.40pm incident.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director Mohd Sani Harul said they were alerted at about 8pm before two fire-engines from the Port Klang and Andalas Fire and Rescue Station, Klang, were dispatched to the scene.
In a statement today, Mohd Sani said that investigations showed the container was destroyed nearly 90 per cent in the fire.
The cause of fire is still under investigation.
