Continuous monsoon rain not expected from Dec 17-22

Continuous heavy monsoon rain is not expected to occur from Dec 17 to 22 even though the country is experiencing the Northeast Monsoon.
The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia), in a statement, here today however said during that period, morning rain was expected to occur in the east coast states of the peninsula and east Sabah.
In the afternoon and early evening, rains and thunderstorms are expected, which will be concentrated in the interiors of the east and west coast states in the peninsula and central and west regions of Sarawak as well as the west and interiors of Sabah.
