The father of two committed the offence at Jalan Persiaran Meru Raya 5, Meru Raya, at 2.40 pm, on Aug 31, 2014.
A police constable was sentenced to a day in jail and fined RM20,000 in default one year jail by the Special Corruption Court Monday after he was found guilty of accepting a bribe of RM4,000, last year.
Judge Rihaida Rafie ordered Mohd Azrol Azreen Abu Hassan, 27, who served in the 2nd Battalion, General Operation Force's Camp, Kulim, to serve the one day jail sentence today.
Mohd Azrol, who has seven years of service, received the bribe from one Lam Naing Hung as an inducement not to take action against three Myanmar nationals, Hau Pum Haui, Khin Laung Zai and Khuam Pu, for not having the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees identification cards.
