'Count Down Clock', new Masjid Jamek to be opened today

The city's 'Count Down Clock' at Dataran Merdeka and Masjid Jamek, which has been upgraded, will be opened to the public today.

Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor in a statement here Saturday, said the two landmarks will be a big draw with tourists. thus making Kuala Lumpur a world-class city.

He said the 'Count Down Clock' will be a source of inspiration for architects as it comes with a beautiful fountain and landscaping while the upgraded Masjid can accommodate a congregation of 1,000 people at any one time. - BERNAMA
