Couple died after being hit by car while jogging

A couple was killed after being hit by a car while jogging along Jalan Raja Dr Nazrin Shah here this morning.

Lee Woon Bin, 51, died at the scene while his wife Teh Siew Chhon, 47, at the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital here. The driver of the car was not injured.

Ipoh Public Order and Traffic chief DSP Wan Sharuddin Wan Omar said in the 6.30am incident, the driver of the car was exiting the roundabout near the Perak Menteri Besar's house on his way home when the car hit the couple.

"It is believed the car was being driven fast and had skidded before hitting the couple, who were flung about 10 metres," he told Bernama.
