Court finds Pandan MP Rafizi Ramli guilty of possessing, disclosing 1MDB audit report
Mohd Rafizi Ramli has been found guilty over charges of unauthorised possession of the 1MDB audit report.
Pandan MP Mohd Rafizi Ramli has been found guilty over charges of unauthorised possession of the 1 Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) audit report and exposing it to media.
Sessions Court judge Zulqarnain Hassan found Rafizi, 39, guilty of both offences.
On Apr 5, he was detained by police outside of Parliament building around 6.20pm to be investigated under Section 8 of the Official Secrets Act (OSA) 1972.

The PKR vice president and secretary-general, was charged with illegal possession of page 98 of the Audit Report on 1MDB, an offence under the OSA.
He allegedly committed the offence at the Parliament Building lobby here at 3pm on March 24, under Section 8(1)(c)(iii) of the Official Secrets Act 1972, which carries a jail term of up to seven years upon conviction.

Mohd Rafizi was accused on the second charge of leaking the contents of the audit report on 1MDB to the media at the same place and time on March 28, under Section 8(1)(c)(iv) of the same Act, which provides for imprisonment of up to seven years upon conviction.
