Court rejects another application to freeze Lynas TOL
The High Court here today rejected another the application made by Kuantan residents for an interim injunction on the Temporary Operating Licence (TOL) given to Lynas Advanced Material Plant (LAMP).
Judge Datuk Mariana Yahya in her judgement said the application was rejected for the same reason.
"The application for an interim injunction should be made during the judicial review on the plaintiff's application which questioned the status of the TOL given to Lynas," she said.
On Nov 8, Mariana rejected a similar application filed by Tan Bun Tet, Syed Talib Syed Sulaiman and Hasimah Ramli, hence allowing LAMP in Gebeng to begin operations.
Meanwhile, the judge also fixed Nov 30 for case management to set the actual date for judicial review for the application filed by Kuantan residents to freeze the TOL to stop Lynas' operations.
