Director-General of Health, Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said there was one import case detected in Selangor, involving a citizen arriving from Saudi Arabia.
"The active cases with COVID-19 infectivity are now 12,601 cases," he said during his press conference on Monday.
For contagion cases by state, Kuala Lumpur recorded the highest number with an increase of 392 cases, followed by Sabah with an increase of 288 cases.
The Malaysian Ministry of Health (MOH) today also reported that there was an increase of four new deaths, making the cumulative death toll of 313 cases.
To date, a total of 102 positive cases of COVID-19 are receiving treatment at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and out of that, 39 cases require respiratory assistance.
Meanwhile, Malaysia recorded an increase of 821 cases of recovery cases, bringing the total number of cases recovered to 35,606.
