COVID-19: 2,018 new cases reported, Selangor highest with 1,204

PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia recorded the third highest daily case of COVID-19 with a total of 2,018 new cases reported, bringing the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country to 95,327.
Director-General of Health, Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, said out of the total, there were seven reported cases of imports receiving infections from abroad.
"Active cases with COVID-19 infectivity are now 16,496 cases," he said in a press conference here on Monday.
Selangor today recorded the highest number of COVID-19 cases with 1,204, followed by Johor (278) and Sabah (247).
There has also been an increase in one new death case reported involving a non-citizen at Tuaran Hospital, bringing the cumulative death toll now to 434.
To date, there are a total of 190 cases receiving treatment at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), with 55 cases requiring respiratory assistance.
Recovery from COVID-19 recorded an increase of 1,084 cases, bringing the cumulative number of cases to 78,393.
